The Dhaka North City Corporation on Tuesday conducted a drive in the capital鈥檚 Mirpur area and demolished illegal stalls and entertainment rides set up for a fair in the Parish playground.
The DNCC Zonal executive officer for zone-2 Md Ziaur Rahman and estate officer Farzana Khanom conducted the drive, said a DNCC press release.
At least 150 stalls were demolished during the drive.
Ziaur Rahman, also the executive magistrate, said that the corporation conducted the drive as the fair was set up without permission.
鈥楾here is no scope to organise any fair on playgrounds and parks of the DNCC without obtaining permission,鈥� Ziaur Rahman said, adding that such drives will continue.
