BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology hosted an orientation programme to welcome the newly admitted students of the spring semester-2025 on Tuesday.
The event took place at BUFT鈥檚 permanent campus auditorium in Nishatnagar, Turag, Dhaka, said a press release.
The programme was presided over by Professor Ayub Nabi Khan, acting vice-chancellor of BUFT. Faruque Hassan, chairman of the board of trustees, BUFT trust, graced the occasion as chief guest. In his welcome remarks, Rafiquzzaman, registrar of BUFT, greeted the freshers.
Distinguished academic leaders 鈥� Professor Md Alamgir Hossain, treasurer and dean, faculty of fashion studies, Professor Md Muinuddin Khan, dean, faculty of business studies and faculty of arts and social science, Professor Md Sirajul Karim Choudhury, dean, faculty of engineering studies, Professor Md Abdul Jalil, dean, faculty of sciences and faculty of textile engineering and Professor Mohammed Rubaiyat Chowdhury, dean, faculty of apparel studies 鈥� addressed the students.
The event concluded with a cultural performance by the students, showcasing their talents and spirit.
