The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited in Bangladesh in partnership with BRAC Business School, BRAC University recently organised the finale and award-giving ceremony of the ‘Business Case Competition 2025’, says a press release.

In the competition, three teams from Bangladesh were selected as the champion, runners-up and second Runner-up out of 1300 teams from 21 universities from all over the country.


The competition concluded with Team Adamantine from Bangladesh University of Professionals comprising Mahadi Hasan Sazid, Sadia Sultana Era, Rubaiyat Tabassum Islam and Armana Tarannum Khan becoming champion, Broke Bankers from North South University comprising Fahim, Afia Moshrefa Shafiq, Zarin Tasnim Chowdhury and Khandker Farhan Hossain became runners-up, Pencil Musketeers from Bangladesh University of Professionals comprising Tausif Ansary Niloy, Ankur Hossain, Fuad Rahman Chowdhury and Mahjabin Lethe became second runner-up.

Team Adamantine won a development fund of Tk 2,00,000, earning the opportunity to represent Bangladesh in the HSBC/HKU Asia Pacific Business Case Competition in Hong Kong this June. They will compete with teams from over 20 countries on a global stage. Broke Bankers received Tk 1,00,000, while Pencil Musketeers won Tk 50,000.

Md Anwar Hossain, vice-chairman & CEO, Export Promotion Bureau and Administrator, BGMEA, was present as the chief guest. Md Mahbub ur Rahman, Chief Executive Officer, HSBC Bangladesh and Syed Ferhat Anwar, vice-chancellor of BRAC University also attended the programme.

A distinguished panel of judges, including Rubaba Dowla, country managing director at Oracle Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan; Uzma Chowdhury, chairperson of Meghna Bank PLC & finance director of PRAN-RFL Group; and Dan Pasha, director of trade & investment, British High Commission; assessed the final presentations.

The panel commended the finalists for their analytical depth, creativity, and professionalism, noting that the competition displayed the incredible potential of Bangladesh’s future leaders.

This platform is a launch pad for young leaders to think and act responsibly, to shape the world. Thanks to BRAC University for the collaboration in bringing the young talents to the global stage.

The chief guest Md Anwar Hossain, vice-chairman & CEO, Export Promotion Bureau added, ‘The remarkable talent we see here today signals a bright future for Bangladesh.
