
Tejgaon Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police recovered 251 mobile phones of different brands which were lost, stolen and robbed at different times and returned those to their legal owners.
A DMP media release on Thursday said in the past one month, 63 mobile phones were recovered by Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police station, 54 by Hatirjheel police station, 40 by Mohammadpur police station, 32 by Tejgaon Shilpanchal police station, 32 by Adabor police station and 30 by Tejgaon police station.
The police stations reported that they have recovered the missing mobile phones using information technology, after lodging general diary and complaints filed by the owners about lost, stolen and snatched devices.
The recovered mobile phones were handed over to the legal owners on Thursday in presence of Tejgaon Division deputy police commissioner Md Ibne Mizan at his office.
The mobile phone owners, who were happy to get their lost mobile phones back in the shortest possible time, have expressed their sincere thanks and gratitude to the police.
