Rubel Mia鈥檚 hundred led Partex Sporting Club to a 19-run win over the Shinepukur Cricket Club in the Relegation League of the ongoing Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Friday.聽
The win took Partex one step closer to avoiding relegation, as they now have a three-point lead over their contender Brothers Union with one match remaining. Shinepukur, however, were relegated even before the start of the Relegation League.聽
Partex, after being asked to bat first, put on 264-7 in 50 overs despite losing two wickets for 30 runs. Rubel, who reached hundred in 119 balls, added 122 and 50 runs with Md Rakib and Ahrar Amin, respectively.聽
Sabbir Rahman (27 off 15) and Muktar Ali (14 off 7) helped Partex to post a competitive total.聽
Shinepukur, though, were well on course to winning as they made 237-4 in 45.2 overs with all the top five batters contributing.聽
But a wicket in the 46th over triggered a collapse as they lost four wickets in the space of 10 deliveries without adding a run. They were all out for 245 with seven balls still to play.聽
Alauddin Babu and Yaseen Muntasir each took three wickets for Partex, while Muktar took two.聽
