Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology has started an eye camp to ensure the eye health of teachers and students of the university.
The eye camp, organised by the BUET Student Welfare Directorate, was inaugurated by the vice-chancellor of the university, Professor Abu Borhan Md Badruzzaman, at the university鈥檚 Dell Cafe on Saturday, said a press release. 聽
About 800 teachers and students registered in the camp will receive regular eye examination services, prescriptions and guidance from specialist doctors.
Bangladesh Eye Hospital is the sponsor and providing technical support of the camp.
Under the management of BUET Student Welfare Directorate director Professor AKM Masud, the event was attended by chief medical officer of BUET Medical Centre Dr Abu Hena Abid Zafar, ophthalmologist of Bangladesh Eye Hospital Dr Fadia Farah Ananya, and senior officials of BUET.
