
The fire service and civil defence formed a 50-member specialised team alongside imparting training to enhance their capacity to cope with all natural and man-made disasters especially earthquake.
Inaugurating the specialised training on Sunday at the fire service and civil defence multipurpose training ground, Purbachal in Narayanganj, FSCD director general Brigadier General Muhammad Jahed Kamal such training would be organised in phases to increase the capacity of others.
This training course would continue to May 1, said a press release.聽
Besides, 50 fire-fighting and rescue workers from different fire stations have been attached to the training ground to work as a specialised team to deal with fire-fighting, earthquakes and other disasters.
