
The Yunnan-Bangladesh Education and Healthcare Cooperation Programme was held at Bangladesh Medical University in Dhaka on Monday.
The event was organised following the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Kunming Medical University, China, and the BMU, said a press release.
Professor Xia Xueshan, president of Kunming Medical University, was present as chief guest at the event, which was presided over by BMU vice-chancellor, Professor Dr Md Shahinul Alam.
The event was addressed by the BMU pro-VC Professor Dr Md Mujibur Rahman Howlader and treasurer Professor Dr Nahrin Akhtar and moderated by the registrar of the university, Professor Dr Md Nazrul Islam.
The event was also attended by vice-president of Kunming University of Science and Technology, Pan Xuejun, vice-president of Yunnan University of Chinese Medicine, Yu Jie, among others.
