A new executive committee for 2025-26 of Munshiganj Journalists Forum in Dhaka has been formed.
Shahadat Rana, news editor of ATN News, has been elected as president and Saikat Sadiq, senior reporter of Ekattor TV, has been elected as general secretary of the committee for a period of two years, said a press release.
The bi-annual general meeting of the forum was held at the Bangladesh Crime Reporters Association in Dhaka.
The forum鈥檚 adviser, UNB adviser secretary Farid Hossain, announced the names of the new 21-member committee of the journalists鈥� forum.
Other members of the new committee are senior vice-president Jahangir Khan Babu and vice-president Angur Nahar Monti, joint editors Arafat Munna and M Mamun Hossain, treasurer Shahjahan Swapan, organising secretary Mehedi Al Amin, publicity and publication secretary Sheikh Lovely Haque Labanya, office secretary Rumel Khan and sports and cultural secretary Imran-uz-Zaman.
The members of the executive committee are Md Saurav, Arif Sohel, Nazmul Azad Shukti, Shah Alam Khan, Milton Anwar, Shahadat Parvez, Shamsuddin Ahmed Hira, Nur Hossain Pipul, Ahmed Tepantor and Md Hasan Imam Imran.
