A small trader was stabbed to death at Bishwanath in Sylhet Sunday evening.
Bishwanath police station officer-in-charge Enamul Haque Chowdhury said that the deceased, Nipesh Talukder, 42, of Derai in Sunamganj along with his family lived at a building of one Khaled Miah at Temukhi under Jalalabad police station in Sylhet city.
Local residents said that Nipesh was attacked at about 9:00pm on Sunday at Pirerbazar of Bishwanath.
Local union parishad member Fazlul Haque told 抖阴精品 that Nipesh used to sell betel leaf, betel nut and cigarette ferrying by a bicycle at different markets at Bishwanath.聽
鈥楢n unidentified man stabbed in Nipesh鈥檚 chest immediately after he reached at the west end of Pirerbazar, leaving him critically injured,鈥� Fazlu said, adding that local people tried to take the victim to a doctor but he died on the spot.聽
Enamul said that the body was handed over to the relatives of the victim on Monday after a post mortem examination.
鈥楢 suspected man was also arrested to interrogate him into the killing incident,鈥� he said.
