A team of Dhaka Metropolitan Police detective branch arrested Md Kamal Hossain Sheikh, former mayor of Kotalipara municipality in Gopalganj, raiding the capital鈥檚 Bhasantek area on early Thursday.
Md Kamal Hossain Sheikh, 62, is also the joint secretary of Awami League鈥檚 Kotalipara upazila unit.
DMP DB joint commissioner for South Nasirul Islam told 抖阴精品 that they arrested former Kotalipara municipality mayor at about 12:10am on Thursday conducting a drive on secret information.
鈥楰amal is accused in three cases filed in connection with conducting attacks on protesters during the Student Movement Against Discrimination. He is now in DB custody,鈥� Nasirul added.
