Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology celebrated the World Intellectual Property Day on its campus in Rajshahi on Saturday.
Under the leadership of vice-chancellor of the RUET Professor SM Abdur Razzak, a rally was taken out from in front of the administrative building of the university, said a press release. 聽
The rally was attended by RUET acting registrar Arif Ahmed Chowdhury, deans, directors, heads of various departments, teachers and students. 聽
Professor Abdur Razzak said that intellectual property was an essential element in economic growth, social development and building a technology-based knowledge-based society in the world.
鈥楶rotecting intellectual property is very important to preserve the originality and innovation of all creative industries,鈥� he mentioned, expressing determination to increase awareness among students about intellectual property and encourage the development of innovative thinking through such events.
