Bangladesh interim government education adviser Professor Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar urged everyone on Monday to eliminate negative perceptions about technical education and integrate this education with mainstream education.
鈥榃e have a negative perception and stigma about technical education that if it is a factory of making carpenters,鈥� he said at a seminar, adding, 鈥楾his is a wrong perception.鈥�
He also said that a certain percentage of technical education courses should be included in the mainstream education.
鈥楽o that people will consider physical labour with respect and learn skills,鈥� he added.
The seminar was organised by the ministry at the International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka.
