The deputy inspector generals of police ranges of all divisions and police commissioners of all metropolitan areas outside Dhaka have been transferred.
A notification issued by home ministry, signed by deputy secretary Md Mahabubur Rahman Sheikh was issued this evening.
In the notification, DIG Syed Nurul Islam of Dhaka range was transferred to Police Academy in Sarda, DIG Nur Alam Meena of Chittagong range was transferred to Police Academy in Sarda, Sylhet range DIG Shah Mizan Shafiur Rahman was transferred to railway police, Rajshahi range DIG Md Anisur Rahman to Naval Police, Khulna range DIG Moinul Haque to Sarda Police Academy in Rajshahi, Barishal range DIG Md Elias Sharif to anti-terrorism unit in Dhaka and Mymensingh range DIG Shah Abid Hossain has been attached to Tourist Police.
Besides, Chittagong Metropolitan Police Commissioner DIG Md Saiful Islam to Rajshahi Sarda Police Academy, Rajshahi Metropolitan Police commissioner DIG Biplab Bijoy Talukdar to Dhaka T & IM, Sylhet Metropolitan Police commissioner DIG Md Zakir Hossain Khan to Dhaka Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI), Gazipur Metropolitan Police Commissioner DIG Md Mahbub Alam has been attached to Railway Police in Dhaka and Commissioner DIG Jihadul Kabir of Barishal Metropolitan Police has been attached to PBI in Dhaka.
