The leaders and activists of the Dhaka North City unit of Awami League brought out a procession in the capital鈥檚 Badda and Rampura areas on Tuesday demanding the resignation of chief adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus.
At least 50 people attended the demonstration at about 6:00am.
They chanted slogans against Muhammad Yunus and the Yunus-led government and praising
ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina and the Hasina-led Awami League regime, according to a video clipping on the procession.
The video clipping went viral on social media later in the day.
鈥業 can only identify ABM Mazhar Anam, the organising 聽secretary of the Dhaka North City unit of AL, in the procession as most of the leaders and activists used face masks while participating in the procession,鈥� an聽 AL Dhaka North City leader told 抖阴精品.
Rampura police station officer-in-charge Ataur Rahman Akanda said that they also heard about the procession that began from Merul Badda in the morning and ended at Rampura Bridge.

The Yunus-led interim government assumed power on August 8, 2024, three days after the fall of Sheikh Hasina鈥檚 authoritarian regime on August 5, 2024 amid a student-led mass uprising.
Sheikh Hasina on August 5, 2024 fled to India for shelter.
Hours after the Awami League procession, National Citizen Party chief organiser Hasnat Abdullah said in a Facebook post that the AL rallies began to grow larger since the day when their 鈥榓nti-AL stance鈥� and 鈥榦pposing the politics of compromise鈥� were labelled as 鈥榙iscourteous鈥�.
鈥楾ake a decision about Awami League soon,鈥� he cautioned those who are doing politics of compromise. 鈥業f otherwise, you will do the 鈥減olitics of compromise鈥�, and I will behave discourteously,鈥� he warned in his Facebook post.
