Bangladesh’s Kabbo Gayan reached the boys’ singles semi-finals of the ITF Asia Under-14 Development Championship 2025 second tournament after defeating Sri Lanka’s Peiris Pattiyage Dinuga Damsath by 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 sets in the quarter-finals in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on Tuesday.

The other two Bangladeshi tennis players, Akash Hossain and Jannat Howlader, made their exits following their quarter-final loss to Pakistan’s Muhammad Shayan by 6-3, 6-3 sets and Sri Lanka’s Norbet Annaya Joanie by 6-3, 6-1 sets in the boys’ and girls’ singles events, respectively.


Earlier in the round of 16 on Monday, Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan’s rising talent Kabbo beat Bayrmagnai of Mongolia by 6-0, 6-0 sets to advance to the boys singles quarter-finals. 

To reach quarter-finals, National Tennis Complex player Akash defeated Sri Lanka’s Sivapalan by 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 sets in the boys’ singles event, and Jannat of Madaripur Tennis Club got a 6-1, 6-3 win over Sherchan Salvi of Nepal in the girls’ singles event.
