The Centre for Non Party Politics in a statement on Saturday made much of the initiative taken by Professor Muhammad Yunus-led interim government in rebuilding the country as a non-sectarian liberal welfare state.

The statement said that the recent speech of Professor Muhammad Yunus had many positive aspects, many expectations, many promises and many limitations.

‘We, however, draw attention to one of his promises that he is trying to establish a non-sectarian liberal welfare state,’ the statement mentioned.

‘We appeal to him that your statement should not be limited to promises only, but continuous efforts should be made to implement them,’ the statement said, adding that this effort would give them hope for the future.

Hoping that Muhammad Yunus will continue this effort, they said, ‘We will support him to make this effort successful.’
