
Independent University, Bangladesh and Kobe College, Japan have recently concluded the KC-IUB Winter Research Camp with farming communities in Manikganj and Rajshahi.
The camp, held from February 7 to 13, focused on field research on food and agricultural practices, engaging students and faculty members from both the IUB and the KC, said a press release on Wednesday.
Participants applied socio-scientific methods to collect and analyse data, examining the role of food and agriculture in the social and cultural context.
The initiative provided practical research experience and facilitated cross-cultural academic exchange between the two institutions.
The camp concluded with a presentation of findings, where students shared research outcomes through reports and exhibitions.
The winter camp is the first of a series of academic collaborations planned under the memorandum of understanding between the IUB and KC, added the press release.
