American International University-Bangladesh in collaboration with two universities in the United Kingdom has secured two project grants from the British Council under the Transnational Education Exploratory Grant programme.

In one project, the AIUB, in partnership with Birmingham City University, UK, aims to develop an international professional certification programme for digital manufacturing at the AIUB, said a press release on Monday. 聽


From BCU, Professor Javaid Butt, Ashikul Khan, Muhammad Adnan and from AIUB Professor Md Abdur Rahman, Professor Md Saniat Rahman Zishan, Chowdhury Akram Hossain, Mahamudul Hassan will work on this project.

In another project, the AIUB, in collaboration with Nottingham Trent University, UK, Jahangirnagar University, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, and other associate partners, focuses on widening access to tertiary education for disadvantaged individuals in Bangladesh, using generative AI.聽

Professor David J Brown, Arif Rahman, Mashiour Rahman, Professor Risala Tasin Khan, Professor Md Rubaiyat Hossain Mondal will work on this project along with other members.

Ishtiaque Abedin, secretary general, Association of Private Universities of Bangladesh and founder member, board of trustees, AIUB, joined as a panellist in the panel discussion titled Unlocking the Potential and Social Value of Transnational Education in Bangladesh at the report launching event.
