The Minor Irrigation Wing of the Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation on Wednesday organised a workshop on ‘the effectiveness of constructed or to be constructed rubber dams in Bangladesh and minor irrigation survey 2023-24’.
Chaired by the BADC chairman Abdullah Sazzad, the seminar was held at the Seminar Hall of Sech Bhaban in the capital, said a press release.
Mentioning that the BADC is working tirelessly as per the outline and plan adopted by the government, Abdullah Sazzad said, ‘The Micro Irrigation Wing of BADC is playing an effective role in increasing the area of ​​arable land by expanding irrigation facilities along with developing efficient irrigation management.’
The seminar was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, various agencies, engineers of the BADC, among others.
