
The state minister for posts, telecommunications and information technology, Zunaid Ahmed Palak, on Wednesday said that broadband internet services could be fully restored in Bangladesh by Wednesday night.
‘We are trying our level best to fully resume the broadband internet services across the country by Wednesday night,’ he said while speaking at a press briefing held at the BTRC Bhaban on Wednesday.
The state minister said that a meeting would be held with the Association of Mobile Telecom Operators of Bangladesh on Friday or Saturday and attempts would be made to resume mobile internet services by Sunday.
When his attention was drawn to access to social media platforms, including Facebook and TikTok, Palak said meetings would be held with Facebook, YouTube and TikTok in this regard.
