Bangladesh Garment Sramik Samhati leaders on Friday at a rally in Ashulia called on the interim government to take steps to foil conspiracies to ruin the garment sector of the country.
Garment Sramik Samhati organised the rally in front of the Ashulia Press Club, where its president Taslima Akhter said that a vested quarter was trying to hamper the productions of the garment factories, and for this some owners kept their factories closed without any mentionable cause.
She called on the interim government to take actions against the vested interests and compel them to continue remaining opening the factories.
Chaired by Taslima Akhter, the organisation鈥檚 central joint general secretary FM Nurul Islam, Ashulia committee leaders Billal Sheikh, Shamim Hossain, Shahida Akhter, among others, spoke at the rally.
The rally was followed by a protest procession that paraded different roads of Ashulia, said a press release.
