A 38-year-old man who suffered injuries in an explosion and subsequent fire at the SN Corporation shipbreaking yard in Sitakunda, Chattogram, died early Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Ahmad Ullah, 38, manager of SN Corporation shipbreaking yard.
12 people suffered burn injuries in the explosion on Saturday.
The injured were initially taken to CMCH and later eight of them were referred to Dhaka for advanced treatment. Ahmad Ullah died on the way to Dhaka.
The remaining seven were admitted to the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, where Tariqul Islam declared their condition as critical.
Doctors said that the victims sustained 30 to 90 per cent injuries.
