The authorities of Jahangirnagar University have invited applications from the university students injured during the quota reform student movement for providing treatment costs.

A notification signed by JU registrar ABM Azizur Rahman made the announcement on Tuesday.


According to the notification, the university administration decided to provide treatment costs to the students who suffered injuries during the movement of the Student Movement Against Discrimination platform in July and August.

‘The applicants are required to submit necessary documents in support of taking treatment,’ the notification said.

JU registrar ABM Azizur Rahman said, ‘We have provided assistance to the injured students during the movement. The fresh notification was issued to know whether anyone was deprived of the assistance.’

The administration set September 30 as the deadline for submitting applications for treatment costs.
