
The government on Wednesday appointed former bureaucrat Md Siraj Uddin Mia (ID No 1380) as principal secretary to the Chief Adviser鈥檚 Office on a two-year contract.
Siraj Uddin will require severing working relations with other government, semi-government and non-government organisations or other professions and business, according to a gazette notification issued by the public administration ministry.
In separate orders, shipping secretary AKM Motiur Rahman has been made an officer on special duty at the public administration ministry, while additional secretary Md Masudul Hasan, who was attached to the public administration ministry, has been promoted to the rank of secretary and posted to the food ministry.
