Members of Rapid Action Battalion have arrested former Kishoreganj-2 constituency MP Advocate Sohrab Uddin from Diabari area in Uttara, Dhaka.
ASP Imran Khan of RAB Headquarters (media wing), confirmed the matter on Wednesday.
Sohrab Uddin is accused of ordering and financing attacks on students and common people during the student-led mass uprising.
A total of four cases were filed against Sohrab at the Kishoreganj and Pakundia police stations. In two of these cases, he is listed as the primary accused, while in the other two; he holds the third position on the list of suspects.
Following his arrest, the process of transferring Sohrab to the Detective Branch office of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police is underway, with further investigations expected, added the ASP.
