Dhaka South City Corporation has provided four water rescue boats to Fire Service and Civil Defence at a programme at Golden Fiber Glass (Boat Yard) premises at Bandar in Narayanganj on Tuesday.
DNCC鈥檚 Urban Resilience Project director Arifur Rahman handed over the tools to Fire Service and Civil Defence director (operation and maintenance) Lt Colonel Mohammad Tajul Islam Chowdhury.
Fire Service assistant director (operation) and Farid Ahmed Chowdhury, zone commander Fakhar Uddin Ahmed, Central Technical Factory assistant maintenance engineer (acting) Mohammad Motahar Hossain and others were present in the event.
The equipment includes four water rescue boats and related equipment which will enhance the capacity of fire service and civil defense in river fire fighting and rescue operations.
