Pearson, a global leader in education, hosted the Principal Network Meet 2024 at Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden, gathering education leaders to discuss innovative approaches to future-ready education, said a press release on Sunday.

The event was inaugurated by Abdullah Al Mamun Liton and Jannatul Ferdous Sigma, regional development managers at Pearson.


Lisa Evans, global marketing director at Pearson United Kingdom, Premila Paulraj, director of employability and qualifications at Pearson, and Maxim Raimann, country exams director at British Council Bangladesh shared insights into the evolving education landscape at the event.

A key highlight was the panel discussion titled Future-Ready Schools: Preparing Students for Jobs that Don’t Exist Yet.

 Panelists, including Joseph Bartosch, CEO of Grace International School, and Sabrina Shahid, principal of Sir John Wilson School, emphasised the importance of skills like adaptability and creativity.

Simon O’Grady, founding headmaster of Haileybury Bhaluka, discussed integrating STEAM education and resilience-building.

The event also honored Lubna Choudhury, founder of Bangladesh International Tutorial, with a tribute to her contributions to education.

Additionally, the Outstanding Pearson School Awards 2024 were presented to 31 schools that excelled in fostering learners to achieve World highest, Asia highest and Country highest in their International GCSE and International A-Level.

Lisa Evans concluded, ‘Preparing students for jobs that don’t exist yet requires collaboration, innovation, and a shared vision.’
