A presentation session on the Journal Club was held at the radiology and imaging department of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University on Sunday.
In the inaugural speech, BSMMU vice-chancellor professor Md Shahinul Alam said that the Journal Club played an essential role in knowledge acquisition, but its primary goal was to conduct in-depth, meticulous, and comprehensive analysis of the relevant topics, said a press release.
鈥楾he contribution of the Journal Club to high-quality research and the progress in university rankings is undeniable,鈥� he added.
The session was attended by BSMMU pro-vice-chancellors professor Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad (administration), and professor Mohammad Mujibur Rahman Howlader (research and development), treasurer professor Nahreen Akhter, registrar professor Mohammad Nazrul Islam, proctor Sheikh Farhad, director (planning & development) Erfanul Haque Siddique, chairman of the radiology & imaging department professor Habiba Khatun, professors Mohammad Moinul Ahsan, Nasim Sultana, Bishwajit Bhoumik, Mosha Saida Shawkat Jenny, and Mahbuba Khatun, and additional director (super hospital) Mohammad Shahidul Hasan, along with teachers and students of the department.
A research paper on the Journal Club was presented by Yasna Kibria, a resident of the radiology and imaging department.
