Gazipur Zila Parishad on Sunday distributed a cheque of Tk 1 lakh each to the families of 9 martyrs in the July-August mass uprising in the district.
Chief executive officer of Gazipur Zila Parishad Khandaker Mudasshir Bin Ali visited the homes of each martyr and handed over the cheque to their families.
He also inquired about the parents and family members of the martyrs.
Ahmed Ali Adnan, assistant commissioner of the Gazipur district commissioner鈥檚 office, among others, was present at the time.
