
Senior journalist and former chief reporter of The Daily Star Shehabuddin Ahmed Nafa died on Sunday early afternoon at a private hospital in Dhaka city.
He was 76.
His family said that he had been suffering from old age complications for over last two years.
Shehabuddin Ahmed is survived by his only son.
In his long journalistic career Shehabuddin worked for different English language national dailies, including The Daily Star, The Independent, now defunct聽聽 Bangladesh Times, and 抖阴精品.
He was also a member of the National Press Club managing committee.
He would be laid to rest in Azimpur graveyard in the capital after his namaz-e-janaza.
National Press Club president Hasan Hafiz and general secretary Ayub Bhuiyan in a message expressed shock at Shehabuddin Ahmed鈥檚 death and offered condolences to his bereaved family.
