The authorities of the Khulna University of Engineering and Technology on Wednesday withdrew the university鈥檚 previous decision of temporarily suspending 37 students.

The decision was taken at the 102 (urgent) syndicate meeting held on the campus on the day.

At the meeting decision was also taken to open all seven residential halls from the day instead of May 2.

The academic activities would be resumed from May 4 as per a previous decision, said a press release issued by the university authorities on Wednesday evening.

The decisions came as the students continued their fast-unto-death programme for the third consecutive day on Wednesday.

Education adviser Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar on Wednesday however called on the protesting students to end their fast-unto-death programme while visiting the university.
