Off-spinner Nayeem Hasan was the standout performer on the first day of the two-day practice match between BCB Red and BCB Green at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Thursday as the latter team ended the day leading by 15 runs.
Nayeem鈥檚 four wickets, alongside three wickets from pacer Khaled Ahmed and two from pacer Ruyel Miah, saw BCB Green bowl out BCB Red for a meagre 131.
Mushfiqur Rahim was the standout batter for BCB Red as he scored 50 before falling to Khaled.
BCB Red looked bound to get bowled out for a double-digit total but managed to go into the three-figure mark courtesy of a 30-run knock from tailender Shafiqul Islam as he added 40 runs for the final two wickets.
In reply, Mominul Haque鈥檚 unbeaten 47 saw BCB Green end the day on 146-4, with Pritom Kumar batting on 18 with him.
Mohammad Naim scored 34 for them, while Yasir Ali Chowdhury was dismissed for 26.
For BCB Red, Shafiqul picked up two wickets while Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Nahid Rana picked up one each.
