Two controversial dismissals of Shinepukur Cricket Club were the talk of the day as they were beaten by Gulshan Cricket Club by just five runs in their Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Wednesday.聽

Chasing 178, Shinepukur needed 36 runs with three wickets remaining when their number eight batter, Rahim Ahmed, was stumped off by Nihaduzzaman. But what raised the eyebrows was the fact that Rahim didn鈥檛 even try to play the ball which was spinning away.聽

But the stumping of Minhajul Abedin was more shocking eight overs later. He didn鈥檛 try to place his bat inside the crease despite having ample time as the wicketkeeper Alif Hasan fumbled to break the stumps the first time.聽

The loss put Shinepukur in the relegation league, and the win confirmed Gulshan鈥檚 spot in the Super League.聽

Mohammedan Sporting Club also confirmed the super league after beating Agrani Bank Cricket Club by 74 runs at BKSP-3.聽

Mohammedan put on 287-7 in 50 overs thanks to Mushfiqur Rahim (75 off 57) and Mahidul Islam (64).

In reply, Agrani Bank stumbled to 213 in 47.2 overs despite Amite Hasan鈥檚 105. Ebadot Hossain and Mehidy Hasan Miraz each took three wickets.聽

Abahani Limited stretched their winning streak to nine matches as they beat Prime Bank Cricket Club by a whopping 133 runs at BKSP-4.聽

Fifties from Parvez Hossain (79 off 71) and Najmul Hossain Shanto (58) helped Abahani to post 290-9 in 50 overs.

Opener Naim Sheikh scored 73 off 74, but Agrani Bank managed only 157 in 32 overs. Mosaddek Hossain took three for 29 runs.
