The National Board of Revenue on Sunday announced that all online VAT services, including Integrated VAT Administration System, will be unavailable for 96 hours due to a network migration.
The suspension will start at 7:00am on December 19 and last until December 23, according to a press release.
During this time, taxpayers will be unable to use services such as online tax payments, digital payments or sales tax calculations.
The NBR said that the network provider was being changed as the current provider Access Telecom (BD) Limited was being replaced by Bdcom Online Limited.
The transition will take 96 hours to fully set up and make the system operational, the press release said.
The NBR urged taxpayers, VAT officials and others to finish any urgent tasks before or after the downtime.
This change aims to make VAT services smoother and more reliable in the future, the release added.
