The interim government鈥檚 education adviser Wahiduddin Mahmud on Wednesday gave hints of not cancelling the decision to cancel postponed Higher Secondary Certificate and equivalent examinations.

At a press conference, he also said that the decision to cancel exams should be taken after more consideration.


The adviser said that they would change the textbooks under the new curriculum as much as they could.

He met the journalists amid protests staged by a section of the students demanding cancellation of the decision to cancel the remaining HSC and equivalent exams.

The government on Tuesday cancelled the postponed Higher Secondary Certificate and equivalent examinations after a section of students staged protests demanding the cancellation of the exams.

The process of preparing the results of the half-done examinations would be decided later, said the education ministry officials.
