
Music director and composer Ahmmed Humayun’s maiden silver screen directorial venture titled ‘Potu’ is scheduled to hit cinemas today.
‘This is my first film. I also wrote the story, dialogues and screenplay of the film, which depicts how children are abducted and forced to beg by gangs,’ said Ahmmed Humayun, who composed music for many films, including Nolok, Talash and Purey Jai Mon.
The film will be released in all branches of Star Cineplex and multiplexes in the country, said the producer of the film and Jazz Multimedia owner Abdul Aziz.
‘Potu’ was shot at different chars in Rajshahi. The locals played different characters in the film.
The film also stars debutant actors in lead roles, including Evan Sair and Afra Shaiara.
Evan Sair said, ‘I am happy because my debut film will be released today. I hope that the audience will enjoy it.’
‘It was a great learning experience for me. It was not an easy journey because the film’s shooting took place in remote areas of Rajshahi. I urge film lovers to watch it and give me feedback,’ said Afra Shaiara.
Besides, Dilruba Hossain Doyel, Shoab Monir, Ariful Rony, Bacchu Dewan, Galib Sardar, Bulton Nil, Akash Bin Osama, Shahariar Fozdar, Â Tarek Mahmud Joy, Galib, Keya, Manik, Zarifa Rahman, Rohid Khan, Minhajul Islam, Tamim Topu and others have played different characters in the film.
