Pakistan has postponed its deputy prime minister and foreign minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar’s visit to Bangladesh scheduled for April 27-28 amid a tense situation between India and Pakistan over a recent deadly attack in India-administered Kashmir.

Islamabad conveyed the decision in a diplomatic communication with Dhaka on Thursday, officials concerned confirmed.

‘Owing to unforeseen circumstances, the Honourable Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan is unable to undertake the visit to Bangladesh on 27-28 April  2025,’ said the Foreign Ministry of Pakistan in a note.

The new dates for the visit will be finalised through mutual consulting.
