The officials and employees of Islami Bank Bangladesh on Saturday decided to donate Tk 5 crore, equivalent to their salary for two days, for the flood victims, according to a press release.
According to the press release issued on the day, the officers and employees will donate the money for the relief and rehabilitation of flood victims.
The relief and rehabilitation activities will be conducted through the relevant branches and sub-branches of the bank including the flood affected Feni, Lakshmipur, Noakhali, Cumilla, Habiganj and Sunamganj districts.
This decision was taken in a virtual meeting on the day with the participation of senior executives, zone and branch heads and sub-branch in-charges.
The bank’s managing director, Mohammed Monirul Moula, among others, was present in the meeting.
