Md Shawkat Ali Khan has become managing director and chief executive officer of Sonali Bank PLC on Wednesday, said a press release.
He was appointed to this position through a letter dated October 21 of the finance ministry鈥檚 Financial Institutions Division.
Prior to joining Sonali Bank, he served as MD of Bangladesh Krishi Bank.
Earlier he worked as deputy managing director of Rupali Bank PLC.
He obtained BSc (honours) and MSc in chemistry from Jahangirnagar University and pursued MBA in banking from University of Dhaka.
