The National Sports Council on Sunday issued a letter asking the authorities concerned to find alternative land for Bangladesh Football Federation鈥檚 technical centre instead of forestland in Cox鈥檚 Bazar.
The letter said that the designated land for construction of BFF鈥檚 technical centre at Khuniyapalang at Ramu was a reserved forest and it asked the authorities to take necessary steps to find alternative land for the centre.
It also said that the proposed land from the stakeholders was Dhalirchara at Ramu.
The letter, signed by NSC secretary Aminul Islam, also asked the authorities to inform the NSC about those steps urgently.
Green activists for a long time had urged then Sheikh Hasina-led Awami League government to cancel its allocation of forestland for establishing the technical centre.
