Bangladesh Udichi Shilpigoshthi at a programme on Thursday demanded justice for vandalising sculptures in the country after the fall of the Awami League government on August 5.

They demanded it at a discussion on the 49th death anniversary of Bangladesh鈥檚 founding president Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Leaders and activists of the Udichi said that due to Sheikh Hasina鈥檚 autocratic rule, a vested interest started denying the contribution of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and attacking his sculptures and museum.

Moderated by Udichi Shilpigoshthi general secretary Amit Ranjan Dey, the programme began with observing a minute of silence for the memory of those killed on August 15, 1975.
