Former Awami League lawmaker Haji Mohammad Salim was arrested in the capital's Bangshal area on early Monday.
Confirming the news to 抖阴精品, Dhaka Metropolitan Police detective branch joint commissioner Mohammad Rabiul Hossain Bhuiyan said that they had arrested him at about 1:00am on Monday and he had been brought to the DB office at about 2:00am.
鈥楬aji Salim and his sons are accused in several cases, including murder cases, and those cases are filed with different police stations,鈥� Rabiul said.
Rabiul, however, did not confirm about the case in which Salim was arrested.
Salim was a three time AL lawmaker and first elected from Dhaka-8 in 1996.
He was elected lawmaker from Dhaka-7 in 2014 and 2018.
