Bangladesh Nationalist Party has decided not to hold any events to celebrate the 60th birthday of the party鈥檚 acting chairman Tarique Rahman on November 20.
The decision has already been communicated to party leaders and activists across the country.
In a press release issued to the media on Monday evening, the BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi made the announcement.
The media release says that Tarique Rahman鈥檚 birthday falls on Wednesday, November 20.
鈥楾he leaders and activists of all BNP units, as well as its associate and affiliated organisations across the country, are hereby informed that no events will be held to celebrate Mr Tarique Rahman鈥檚 birthday on that day,鈥� it reads.
The party also warned that organisational action would be taken against anyone who defies this directive.
