The five-day-long BKSP Cup Tennis Tournament 2025 began at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan playground in Savar on Sunday.
A total of 112 players from 24 teams of districts, clubs, federations, and BKSP from across the country are competing in the nine events of the tournament.
In the boys' singles event on the opening day, Kabbo Gayen of BKSP beat Imran Chowdhury of Madaripur Tennis Club by 6-3, 6-1 sets, while another BKSP campaigner, Taj, defeated Purno of Rajshahi Tennis Complex by 3-6, 6-1, 6-2 sets.
In the girls鈥� singles event, Mitu of BKSP beat Bushra of the Bangladesh Tennis Federation by 8-0 game points.
Earlier, BKSP director general Brig Gen Md Munirul Islam inaugurated the tournament as the chief guest.
BKSP director (training) Col Md Golam Mabud Hasan and BKSP College principal Lt Col Mohammad Imran Hasan were also present, among others, during the opening ceremony.
