Chinese company Ding Yu (BD) Enterprise Limited is going to invest $28.92 million in BEPZA Economic Zone to establish a garments manufacturing industry, said a press release.
Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority member (investment promotion) Md Ashraful Kabir and Ding Yu (BD) Enterprise Limited managing director Zhuofan Cai sign an agreement in this regard at BEPZA Complex in Dhaka on Monday.
BEPZA executive chairman Major General Abul Kalam Mohammad Ziaur Rahman was present at the event.
The Chinese company plans to produce 50 million pieces of underwear, t-shirt, yoga pant, swim pant annually, creating employment opportunities for 3,135 Bangladeshi nationals.聽
