The Dhaka North City Corporation on Tuesday afternoon claimed that they had removed 100 per cent of the waste generated from sacrificial animals from all 54 wards on the second day of Eid-ul-Azha.

The DNCC in a press release said that it removed around 4,009 tonnes of animal wastes through 927 trips by 5:00pm.


Earlier, the DNCC on Monday evening claimed that they had removed 100 per cent of the animal waste within six-hour, starting from 2:00pm on the day of Eid-ul-Azha, one of the largest religious festivals for Muslims.

The city corporation removed 10,374 tonnes of animal wastes through 2,102 trips.

The Dhaka South City Corporation on Tuesday in a press release claimed that it had removed 100 per cent of the wastes generated from sacrificial animals from all 75 wards within 10 hours.

The DSCC had removed the wastes completely by 12:15am on Tuesday. The cleaning programme began at 2:00pm on Monday.
