Sonali Bank has promoted nearly 2,200 officers across various positions, including Assistant General Manager, Senior Principal Officer, Principal Officer, Senior Officer and Officer.
The bank, which employs around 18,000 officers in total, had previously promoted officials to the positions of General Manager and Deputy General Manager. However, promotions at the lower levels had been on hold for an extended period, bank officials said.
Following a change in government, the newly appointed Managing Director took the initiative to address the long-pending promotions, along with some regular promotions.
