Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the largest religious festivals of the Muslims, will be celebrated in Bangladesh on Thursday as the Shawwal moon was not sighted on Tuesday evening.
The decision was taken in a meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee presided over by state minister for religious affairs at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in Dhaka after reviewing reports received from different parts of the country.
