A man allegedly committed suicide after he had strangled his wife to death at Madhabdi in Narsingdi on Saturday.
The deceased are Raju Mia, 38, and his wife Mansura Begum, 25, both hailed from Balusair village of Madhabdi in Narsingdi.
They have two sons and a daughter, police said.
Madhabdi police officer-in-charge Md Nazrul Islam said that the bodies were recovered on Saturday morning.
The bodies were sent to the Narsingdi Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC said, adding that further details could be given after the autopsy.
Local people said that Raju strangled his wife Mansura Begum to death on Friday night following an argument with her and fled.
Later, Raju committed suicide by hanging himself from the cornice of a building at Baburhat Bazar, they added.
